Our Courtyard Rooms are located on the garden level across from the main hotel building, this is accessed via an uncovered brick walkway which is approximately 35 meters from the main hotel building.
Alternative access can be arranged from Thameside which has level access and is approximately 25 meters from the Accessible rooms. The rooms have direct views of the pale-yellow early Chantry House, erected circa 1400s.
Contemporary and comfortable, they are ideal for those who like easy access to the outdoors without going upstairs.
Our two Accessible rooms both measure 26sqm (279 sqft.) and can accommodate up to two adults. These rooms have one EU standard king size bed (160cmx200cm, 5.0ft x6.6ft). There is ample space and height for wheelchair manoeuvrability, as well as space for our furry friends.
Assistance dogs are most welcome, please let us know in advance of your trip so we can ensure amenities are placed in the room for their comfort also.
The Accessible rooms feature hypoallergenic bedding in addition to the following features: wider doorways to the bedroom and bathroom, lowered peepholes, lowered wall-mounted thermostat, lowered wardrobe rod, lowered sinks, towel bars, grab bars and a roll in shower with fold-down seat. Each room also has its own private outdoor seating space.
For general access, there is a lift servicing the 1st and 2nd floor giving access to a choice of traditional hotel rooms. The hotel lift is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair comfortably. Most of our rooms have walk-in showers, please note that for some there is a step into the shower, and a shower stool is available on request. We have some rooms which feature baths or which are not accessed via the lift, rather by 3 flights of stairs. If you decide to make a reservation for a traditional hotel room, kindly let us know in advance so we can ensure that the rooms meets your comfort needs.
